Many of the children of the families that we help at the Centre are not able to complete their education due to financial reasons in most cases though some children are being brought up in families where perhaps the parents have not completed their education and their parents before them, and so do not necessarily see the importance of education for their children. We feel that for many families helping the children to complete their education is one way in which we can help families break the cycle of poverty and so in 2016 we started an education programme.
At the Centre we help families apply for a bursary with the finance needed to make the application which is about £10. If they are then successful they then receive about £16 per month per child for the year. This is of especial help for those children that want to go to high school in order to get their baccalaureate as it helps with the cost of books etc.. Where the family for what ever reason do not qualify for a bursary we will consider helping on a regular basis if their circumstance fits our criteria.
As well as helping families apply for bursaries we are also helping some youngsters towards the cost of further education. At present we are helping one with the cost of a Medical Assistants course, others we are helping towards University costs.
We also help with costs for those that want to do practical courses (Mechanics, Agriculture, Dressmaking and design etc.) at the nearby school.
The daughter of one of our families had to miss school for a year and we are helping with the cost of transport to attend high school in a neighbouring town.
We also help with the transport costs for those from the villages that wish to attend high school in Dorohoi. Children from the villages receive their education in the village up to high school age (14). At that point they have to come into Dorohoi for high School and for some the transport costs are too hing and so they “drop out” of education.
As mentioned earlier we feel that this is important in breaking the cycle of poverty and we would love to be able to help more youngsters in this way. If you feel that this is a project that you would lie to be involved with and support please go to the Support page.

Hello! I am a student at Emanuel University in Oradea (a Christian University), department of letters (philology) Romanian and English, 2nd year. I am extremely pleased to be able to study in such an environment, and I am thankful to the Lord for this opportunity. Emanuel University is an unique school in Europe. It is different from all the others through the fact that it is dedicated to the development of students both in the spiritual and academic field, focusing on the developing a healthy character in the students lives but also being the only conservative accredited university in Europe.
Besides the academic part, I serve in different chirches, being part of a mission group; I am also involved in a group called „The Little Evangelist”. This group aims to preach the Scripture. Every week we go out on the streets, in parks, squares, commercial spaces, to approach people and discuss God, based on a series of questions. In this period of Christmas, we are going to the hospital pacients, people who suffer of grave diseases as cancer and who don’t know if they will open their eyes the following day.
